This statue caught my attention for an unusual reason

It is situated right at the heart of London big financial square near Liverpool Street station.

UBS offices are all around this statue.

It is called 'Rush Hour' and depicts people droning to work during the rush hour.

What really caught my attention was that the statue was 'altered' by the fence that was put around it during some sort of a repair job.

The fence added extra meaning to the statue in my view.

It fitted there perfectly.

Reason is that the fence somehow symbolised that we are also 'penned in' to the prisons of our own mind.

Often, these are 'imposed' onto us by external factors, but many of them are our own construct.

The statue, in this form, is perfect to me.

It just works.

It's an artwork of artworks and situated at a perfect location for its meaning to be even more resonant.

I'm really happy I caught this 'on tape'.
